enXco Announces VP of Solar Business Unit

San Diego, CA - July 18, 2011:  enXco - an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company (PARIS: EEN) is pleased to announce the addition of Kristina Peterson as Vice President of the Solar Business Unit.  In this position she will provide strategic leadership and direction to enXco's growing solar PV business.

Ms. Peterson joins enXco from Suntech Power Holdings of China, a leading global solar panel manufacturer, where as Vice President, Business Development and Project Finance, she was instrumental in establishing Suntech's operations in the U.S., growing Suntech's U.S. market share substantially within three years.  During her tenure, she was responsible for M&A activities, project development, corporate finance, and credit portfolio management.  She also served as President of Suntech's joint venture development company with MMA Renewable Ventures and acted as key U.S. contact for Suntech's Chinese bank relationships.

Two additional new hires were also recently announced.   Damien Buie joined enXco as Director of Solar Innovation after having worked for Albuquerque-based Emcore Solar Power.  This newly created position is focused on identifying, assessing and implementing innovative solar solutions to ensure the technology deployed represents the most cost effective for both the utility-scale and distributed generation markets. David Carroll brings over 10 years of experience in the solar and commercial construction industry, most recently at Q-Cells International, to his new role as enXco's Manager of Solar Engineering and Construction.

"enXco is thrilled to bring Kristina's 20 years of experience in energy and banking to our team.  Her track record as a senior executive in solar panel manufacturing and infrastructure financing, coupled with her involvement in transactions worth over $4 billion globally, will accelerate our development of utility-scale and distributed generation solar projects," said Paul Kaufman, Executive Vice President for Transactions.  "Kristina's leadership, and the technical expertise contributed by Damien and David, reinforces our continued commitment to solar power generation.   These individuals will collaborate with our already exceptionally strong solar development and technical team to develop, design and engineer the most cost effective and successful solar PV projects."

In 2008, enXco diversified its wind development and operations portfolio with solar activities.  Since that time, the company has put into operation 70 MWp across the US and Canada with 22 MWp currently in construction and over 750 MWp in varying phases of development.  Recently, enXco signed a ground-breaking Power Purchase Agreement with San Diego Gas & Electric for the 130 MWp Catalina solar PV project in Kern County California.
