Escondido, CA.—April 28, 2008—enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, and Indianapolis Power and Light (IPL) have entered into a Power Purchase Agreement for the 100-megawatt wind facility to be built in Union and Gilboa townships northeast of Fowler in Benton County, Indiana. enXco will own and operate the Hoosier Wind Project while IPL will purchase the project's output over a 20-year period.
enXco initiated contact with Benton County community members in the latter part of 2002, and expects to complete the final stage of development in 2008. The project, subject to regulatory approval and extension of the Production Tax Credit, is scheduled to be constructed in 2009.
