En aquel momento, las energ\u00edas renovables ten\u00edan una penetraci\u00f3n en el mercado de s\u00f3lo 1%.  Hoy la penetraci\u00f3n del mercado es de 20%. A medida que el sector ha evolucionado, tambi\u00e9n lo ha hecho nuestro enfoque, diversificando nuestra oferta para satisfacer las necesidades del mercado.   EDF Renewables lleva m\u00e1s de 35 a\u00f1os dedic\u00e1ndose a acelerar la transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica a trav\u00e9s de un enfoque hol\u00edstico, haciendo crecer nuestra cartera para incluir la energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica terrestre y marina, la energ\u00eda solar detr\u00e1s del contador y delante del contador, las microrredes, la carga de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos y el hidr\u00f3geno verde, entre otros. La energ\u00eda procedente de fuentes renovables es la que m\u00e1s megavatios ha sumado en Estados Unidos en los \u00faltimos 15 a\u00f1os. Ahora estamos trabajando para entender c\u00f3mo la Ley de Reducci\u00f3n de la Inflaci\u00f3n (IRA) se traducir\u00e1 en una orientaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica.<\/p>\n<p>Mi objetivo para el futuro pr\u00f3ximo es la red y la mejora de los permisos.  La red est\u00e1 anticuada y requiere importantes actualizaciones para convertirse en una estructura que permita que los proyectos e\u00f3licos en alta mar lleven energ\u00eda al continente. Asimismo, tenemos inmensos recursos e\u00f3licos y solares en zonas poco pobladas de Texas y las Grandes Llanuras, y necesitamos encontrar los m\u00e9todos adecuados para llevar esa energ\u00eda a los centros de poblaci\u00f3n. La IRA a\u00fan no ha abordado la transmisi\u00f3n de energ\u00eda, pero esperamos que el proyecto de ley de permisos prometido ayude a facilitar la parte de los permisos, que es muy importante. Tenemos los gigavatios, pero actualmente no podemos soportarlos con la infraestructura de red actual.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La concesi\u00f3n de permisos se est\u00e1 retrasando, \u00bfc\u00f3mo ve la evoluci\u00f3n de este panorama y cu\u00e1les son los puntos clave que espera que el gobierno aborde con el IRA?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Convertirse en una corriente dominante significa expandirse a zonas que no son f\u00e1ciles de autorizar, ya sea en t\u00e9rminos de aceptaci\u00f3n social o de log\u00edstica. Nuestras habilidades de desarrollo se ponen a prueba constantemente; es vital permitir proyectos de una manera que sea apoyada por la poblaci\u00f3n local, a la vez que se respeta el medio ambiente. Estados Unidos tiene una compleja organizaci\u00f3n gubernamental entre organismos federales, estatales y locales. La coordinaci\u00f3n entre los distintos organismos que conceden permisos es fundamental para el \u00e9xito, as\u00ed como la capacidad de respuesta y ejecuci\u00f3n de los distintos organismos implicados. El gobierno de Biden tiene la gran ambici\u00f3n de abordar este problema a trav\u00e9s del proceso de consulta federal y estatal para el offshore. Esto demuestra que es posible mejorar, y que queda mucho por hacer.<\/p>\n<p>La IRA acelerar\u00e1 el despliegue de las renovables y cambiar\u00e1 el juego. La generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s barata, y la atenci\u00f3n debe centrarse en las soluciones para gestionar tantos gigavatios de forma compatible con la red.<\/p>\n<p>Por ejemplo, la mayor parte de la costa de California est\u00e1 protegida, por lo que los proyectos de energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica marina que se van a desarrollar all\u00ed tienen que encontrar formas creativas de llevar la energ\u00eda a los centros de carga.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo est\u00e1 seleccionando EDF Renewables los proyectos que desarrollar\u00e1 en Norteam\u00e9rica a medida que avanzamos en la transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica verde?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Soy un gran partidario de la combinaci\u00f3n de energ\u00edas, y el objetivo final es combinar todos los tipos de generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda con bajas emisiones de carbono para descarbonizar lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido posible, con un coste lo m\u00e1s bajo posible para los usuarios finales. En la actualidad, las energ\u00edas renovables representan la producci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda de menor coste a medida que aumentan los niveles de penetraci\u00f3n, pero el coste de la integraci\u00f3n est\u00e1 empezando a convertirse en un reto. El almacenamiento a medio plazo y las tecnolog\u00edas de hidr\u00f3geno verde son nuestro objetivo para el futuro pr\u00f3ximo, ya que ambas desempe\u00f1ar\u00e1n un papel clave para la integraci\u00f3n de las renovables en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os. Los costes siguen siendo prohibitivos sin subvenciones, pero la IRA permite que el hidr\u00f3geno verde sea competitivo, ya sea sustituyendo al hidr\u00f3geno gris o creando una forma de almacenar energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfHa sentido alg\u00fan reto particular en lo que respecta a la cadena de suministro y c\u00f3mo lo ha mitigado?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El desarrollo de proyectos energ\u00e9ticos abarca hasta 15 a\u00f1os y la explotaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s de 40, por lo que la estabilidad es muy importante. Es cierto que durante los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os nos encontramos con mucha incertidumbre. De hecho, empez\u00f3 con las guerras comerciales entre Estados Unidos y China en 2018 y desde entonces hemos pasado por muchos retos dif\u00edciles de gestionar. En general, pasamos el periodo con pocas bajas, pero la superinterdependencia de las econom\u00edas del mundo ya no es pol\u00edticamente aceptable, no por los retrasos en la cadena de suministro, sino por el hecho de que cada superpotencia se dio cuenta de su dependencia y quiere recuperar la autonom\u00eda frente a sus rivales. La desvinculaci\u00f3n se est\u00e1 produciendo, y va a generar costes adicionales, como el traslado de la fabricaci\u00f3n a Estados Unidos. Preferir\u00edamos tener una cadena de suministro local porque sabemos que podemos depender de ella, y no est\u00e1 expuesta a riesgos arancelarios.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son algunos de los objetivos que le gustar\u00eda alcanzar en los pr\u00f3ximos dos o tres a\u00f1os?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Continuar con nuestro \u00e9xito en la energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica marina; construir m\u00e1s nuestra cadena de suministro dentro de EE.UU.; as\u00ed como encontrar las tecnolog\u00edas adecuadas para facilitar la integraci\u00f3n de las renovables en la red de forma m\u00e1s eficiente.
