This 663 kW PV system was built on the rooftop of a campus headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut. EDF Renewables was able to successfully address a number of challenges including maximizing the amount of energy production within the site constraints on the 150,000 square foot installation. All of the construction, electrical interconnection, and system testing needed to be completed in conjunction with the facility’s schedules and without interruption to the 24-hour operations of their TV network.

“EDF Renewables provided excellent service and coordination building the successful project. They were referred by one of our trusted partners, and delivered the high quality and professional work we were expecting. It was clear from the start that EDF Renewables applied advanced knowledge and experience, installing the system on time and on budget despite obstacles.”
Tom Athan, Managing Partner, Altus Energy Management

The project was completed for building owner and host, Winstanley, and project financier and owner, Altus Power Management. It is interconnected with Connecticut Light & Power and was completed as part of the Connecticut ZREC (Zero Emission Renewable Energy Credits) Program. Modules were supplied by both Renesola and Trina.

The system will annually generate approximately 796 MW hours of energy which will offset 11% of the facility’s annual electricity consumption.
