The U.S. offshore wind industry is set to deliver significant economic benefits, according to the U.S. Offshore Wind Power Economic Impact Assessment report, released by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA). In addition to providing clean, affordable, and reliable power, offshore wind is an abundant clean energy solution and economic driver for coastal areas where there is a greater population and demand for energy. It's estimated that developing 30 GW of offshore wind along the east coast could support up to 83,000 jobs.
