How did you come to work at EDF power solutions?
Right out of college, I joined the Shiloh Wind project in Rio Vista, California, as a temporary employee, thanks to a referral from Gonzalo Herrera, a 25-plus year veteran of EDF. From there, I worked tirelessly to advance my career, becoming a Senior Wind Technician in less than a year and a half. This accelerated growth prepared me to transition to the solar clean energy field, where I now serve as a Tech 4 and actively work toward becoming a supervisor.
Describe your current role.
My role varies day-to-day, ranging from leading my team to complete preventative maintenance tasks on schedule to performing root cause analysis during corrective maintenance sessions. On occasion, I even step in as manager to ensure the site runs smoothly. Each task, big or small, adds up to guarantee reliable, sustainable energy production for thousands of family homes.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that my daily efforts contribute to something much larger: powering thousands of homes with clean energy.
What is one lesson you’ve learned during your time here that you’d like to share with others?
I have learned that having a positive attitude and going into the office with a smile on my face is contagious.
What personal achievement are you most proud of?
I am proud of how far I’ve come—growing from being “green” in wind energy seven years ago to now supervising one of our organization’s largest solar sites.
What is your favorite energy innovation?
I’m fascinated by the solar tracking system we use. It allows for maximum production throughout the day compared to traditional fixed systems.
