SAN DIEGO, California & MEXICO CITY, Mexico (Dec. 8, 2014) – EDF Renewables a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles Group is pleased to announce the addition of Gerardo Pérez Guerra as Vice President and General Manager. In this position he will provide strategic leadership to EDF Renewables and assume responsibility for the overall operation of the company’s renewable energy project portfolio and day-to-day operations.
Mr. Pérez Guerra brings over 25 years of energy sector experience to the EDF Renewables leadership team. He joins the company from Acciona Wind power where he held the position of Director, in which he led the deal structure and negotiations of projects in Mexico and Central America. Prior to Acciona, he was employed for 23 years with Siemens Mexico, serving in the role of Business Director for the Mesoamerican Energy Market for 13 of those years. At Siemens Mr. Pérez Guerra was responsible for sales strategy, negotiation and sales profit for five divisions, and a sales volume of 1.5 Billion USD annually.
