CID Solar

About

The 27.23 MWp CID Solar Project, located on 200 acres of vacant private land in eastern Kings County, California, is a ground-mount horizontal single axis tracker solar photovoltaic project. Upon completion of construction, EDF RE sold the CID Solar Project to Dominion. The power it generates is delivered to Pacific Gas and Electric Company under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement.

CID Solar is EDF RE’s first solar energy project to be built for PG&E, adding to the two companies’ 427+ MW of wind partnerships.

The project adds to EDF RE’s 300+MWp development portfolio of both distributed generation and utility-scale solar projects across North America and delivers cost-competitive renewable energy and economic benefits to the host communities.
