Panton Solar Project

EDF Renewables was proud to develop, design, and construct this 6.3 MW-DC solar project in partnership with Vermont utility Green Mountain Power. This project was constructed on open, unused agricultural land and is designed to optimize energy production by using state-of-the-art tracking panels. EDF Renewables is the industry leader in the design and construction of “far north” single-axis tracking projects; this technology allows panels to move slowly and silently with the direction of the sun and can increase a project’s production by up to 15 percent. The Panton solar project will produce over 9 million kilowatt hours of clean renewable energy each year; enough electricity to power nearly 700 homes or the equivalent to offsetting over 6000 metric tons of CO2.
