Sysco Ventura Solar

About

Sysco Ventura Solar is a 1.1 MW solar project located in California. The power generated is delivered to Sysco, the global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food products to restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments and other customers who prepare meals away from home. In 2018, Sysco announced that they will be reducing their carbon footprint by sourcing 20% of electricity from renewable sources and powering 20% of the tractor fleet with alternative fuels within seven years. As part of this initiative, EDF Renewables developed 2 photovoltaic (PV) solar systems: Lancaster and Ventura, which total 2.2 megawatts (MW).
