Wapsipinicon Wind


Located in the southeastern Minnesota farming country, the Wapsipinicon Wind Project is comprised of 9,772 acres near Dexter, MN and is four miles long from North to South.
Creating a beautiful northern backdrop as travelers pass by on the interstate, all of the power generated from the wind turbines is purchased by SMMPA, which supplies the fifth largest amount of wind power of all municipally-owned utilities in the nation.
